It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas — although it look like it weatherwise in the Mid-Atlantic. I’m talking about the Super Bowl. You may not care about the game, but the commercials that airing during the game will leave you talking about them in the office on Monday. Yes, everyone is going to be glued to the television set tomorrow, whether you root for the Colts or the Saints (or neither).
Among the contenders buying air time are: Doritos, Hyundai, Coca-Cola, e*Trade, and many others. And if the economy wasn’t screwed enough, even the government — you laugh, but the balancing the federal budget is serious business — jumped on the bandwagon. The Census ad is expect to cost $2.5 million in taxpayer money. Damn you, Washington!!
