Apparently, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today, therefore guaranteeing six more weeks of winter. There’s a lesson to be learned: DON’T TAKE HIM OUT UNDER A SOURCE OF LIGHT. Otherwise, he will see his shadow… every time.
Anyway, I don’t understand why the ads are still up of “Don’t let this holiday be your last…” from the Connecticut Department of Transportation. Don’t get me wrong, the “Always buckle up” and “Don’t drink and drive” are everyday guidelines for every driver in Connecticut. But the holidays are long over. I mean, it’s February for crying out loud! Worst of all, they did not say what holiday. “This” holiday could be any holiday — not just Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or New Year’s Day.
